Non Ci e Altro Senso.

I was on the bus home just now, and this struck while I was gazing out the window at the trees and buildings:
Man seeks to find beauty and value in the things he has made for himself, while destroying that which is eternally beautiful.
I have always wondered at the trees, their beauty and wisdom unparalleled by anything on earth, living forever in complete harmony with its surroundings, and dying only when Man intervened. Trees are said to be deathless, yet they are also speechless. Why did God make them thus? Perhaps they, like all things God-given, reflect the heart of the Creator more than anything else that is physical in this world. They endure all things when Man put his foot in where they had ruled, digging and building and killing them slowly or quickly, and always found a way around till the very end. Even then they do not disappear. The law of God makes the trees eternal even in death, existing in one form or another; even a carbon atom could have been a tree, an unending cycle of birth and rebirth.
Nothing of man's hands can be thus renewed, for he did not make the world.
He cannot command moisture not to rust his precious machines, nor the wind not to erode his majestic skyscrapers in time. You see, even with his great calculations that managed to defy some of the laws of nature, he still has to play by the rules in the end.
Everything will turn to dust, but what we cannot see will be eternal.
Like the trees, we reflect the hands and heart of the Creator - artful hands of wisdom and a heart of lovely emotions. But unlike the trees, we have a soul which is the immortal part of ourselves, which will linger, transcend and endure long after we die. What then can the world offer us that is also of eternal value?
Nothing, for all things were made from nothing, and will fade to nothing. God has ordained only one way to secure a good future for eternity, and it is a small and narrow door which few may find an enter. But it is not a hidden door, nor is there any trick to opening it. It will always be ajar till the end, when all things must come to a close.
Only He knows and shows the way to this narrow door.
Just a little ponder while going home=]
